Lavrov: Tehran Has Right to Suspend Implementation of Parts of Iranian Nuclear Agreement
Sergei Lavrov said after his meeting with his Chinese counterpart that Tehran has the right to suspend the implementation of the Iranian nuclear agreement in part.
According to Sputnik, the Russian minister said after his meeting with his Chinese counterpart: “It was stressed the illegality of US sanctions against the Iranian oil sector, which aims to stop oil exports from Iran.”
Lavrov said earlier this month that Moscow received a message from Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the Iranian nuclear deal and carefully studied it.
“I brought a letter from Dr. Ruhani, the president of Iran, addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, personally brought for delivery,” Zarif said.
