Pezeshkian: Iran Rejects Hegemony and Dictates; Any Aggression Will Be Defeated by the People’s Resilience

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that the Islamic Republic does not seek war or escalation, while emphasizing Tehran’s commitment to dialogue and constructive engagement with various countries around the world. He stressed that Iran categorically rejects any attempts to impose its will or extract concessions by force.

Pezeshkian explained that any attempt to force Iran into submission or subjugate it through pressure and threats is doomed to failure. He affirmed that his country will confront any escalation with steadfastness and resilience, without yielding to external dictates.

The Iranian president pointed out that any military action targeting sovereign states constitutes a blatant violation of international law and reflects the double standards of the global system. He asked, “What crime did Iran commit to be attacked? What is the legal basis for targeting it?”

Pezeshkian strongly condemned the targeting of civilians, elites, and children, and the destruction of vital infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, asserting that these practices lack any legal or humanitarian justification and constitute a blatant violation of international law that warrants accountability.

He emphasized that the Iranian people, with their historical unity and internal cohesion, reject any hostile approach and will not accept dictates. He noted that this unity has been and remains a decisive factor in thwarting the enemies’ plans and will continue to be a fundamental pillar in further strengthening national interests and preserving sovereignty.

Pezeshkian concluded by affirming that Iran, despite all challenges, will continue its approach based on dialogue and respect for sovereignty, while simultaneously upholding its legitimate right to defend itself against any aggression or attempt to undermine its independence.
