Iran announces program for the funeral of martyred leader Ali Khamenei
The Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of the Martyred Leader of the Nation, Mr. Ali Khamenei, announced the details of the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies, stressing that the events will continue for several days in major Iranian cities, reflecting the status of the martyred leader in the conscience of the Iranian people and the Islamic nation.
According to the statement, the farewell ceremonies for the body will begin on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, at the Imam Khomeini (may God have mercy on him) prayer hall in Tehran, where the public will be able to participate in paying their final respects.
On Monday, July 6, the official funeral ceremony will be held in the capital, Tehran, followed by another ceremony on Tuesday, July 7, in the city of Qom, before concluding on Thursday, July 9, with the funeral and burial ceremony in the holy city of Mashhad.
The organizing committee for the ceremonies explained that these events will include the martyr leader of the nation, Mr. Ali Khamenei, and a number of his family members who were martyred, stressing that the Iranian people will bid them farewell in mass scenes that reflect loyalty and deep connection to the leadership of the resistance.
