The Iranian news agency Mehr published the full details of the 14-point draft agreement between Iran and the United States, which lays out a comprehensive roadmap to end the military and economic conflict in the region.
A source close to the Iranian negotiating team stated that the draft agreement included the following:
1 – A permanent and immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.
2 – America pledged not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.
3 – The complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days.
4 – America pledged to withdraw its forces from the vicinity of Iran.
5 – The Strait of Hormuz will be reopened within 30 days through Iranian arrangements.
6 – Suspending sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products and derivatives and enabling Iran to have full access to its financial resources.
7 – The need for America and its allies to present plans for the reconstruction of Iran worth no less than $300 billion.
8-60 days of negotiations to reach a final agreement based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of primary and secondary sanctions, US sanctions, and resolutions of the UN Security Council and the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
9 – Iran’s confirmation of its commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) not to produce nuclear weapons.
10 – During the negotiation period, America pledges not to add troops to the region and not to impose new sanctions.
11 – Releasing $24 billion of frozen Iranian funds during the 60-day period for final negotiations, with half of this amount being available to Iran before the start of negotiations.
12 – Establishing a monitoring mechanism to implement the agreement.
13 – Ratification of the final agreement by a resolution of the UN Security Council.
14 – Final negotiations will not begin before half of the frozen Iranian funds are released, oil sanctions on Iran are suspended, and the naval blockade is lifted.
The final agreement will only address the issue of the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, the lifting of sanctions, and the program for rebuilding the Iranian economy.
According to the same source, the Iranian missile program and support for resistance factions were definitively removed from the terms of the agreement.
According to the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this text still needs to be studied and approved by the relevant institutions in Iran.
