Palestinian Fatwa council rejects Zionist enemy’s bill to restrict call to prayer

The Supreme Fatwa Council in Palestine announced on Sunday its categorical rejection of the Israeli enemy’s bill that seeks to restrict the call to prayer (Adhan) through loudspeakers in mosques, considering the move a violation of freedom of worship.

In a statement, the Council affirmed that these measures fall within a systematic policy targeting mosques in general, and especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque, according to the Sanad News Agency.

It indicated that this step constitutes a new attack on religious rites and an attempt to impose a false Judaizing reality in the region.

It stated that the Israeli enemy’s attacks are not limited to places of worship, but extend to citizens’ homes and properties, stressing that the call to prayer is an integral part of the Islamic faith and its voice will not be silenced, regardless of any fines or penalties imposed.

The Fatwa Council called on the international community and its various institutions to take urgent action to stop these violations and prevent interference in matters of worship, describing the Zionist bill as racist and contrary to all international laws, norms and conventions.
