Hezbollah Reveals Details of a Large-Scale Operation in the Ainata Axis
The operations room of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced details of a large-scale field operation carried out by its fighters against enemy forces in the Ainata axis, confirming the thwarting of the Zionist attack and the infliction of direct losses on enemy ranks and equipment.
In a statement issued this afternoon, the operations room explained that “the Israeli enemy army began its mobilization procedures for an attack several days ago along a main axis of advance starting from the border settlement of al-Malikiyah,” where “indications of the actual movement of its forces on this axis were observed on March 28, 2026, at 8:45 PM.”
The statement noted “the advance of four Merkava tanks, two bulldozers, and one armored personnel carrier from the direction of Khallat al-Tarouq, south of the town of Maroun al-Ras, towards Khallat al-Khanouq in the town of Aitaroun.”
The statement added that “at dawn on Sunday, March 29, 2026, a combined force from the 401st and Givati Brigades moved along a secondary axis of advance towards the town of Ainata,” explaining that “the force, consisting of 25 armored vehicles, advanced towards the Aqaba area and the Fariz Heights.”
It confirmed that resistance fighters initiated targeted operations, stating that “at 1:30 AM, the fighters detonated a Shuwaz explosive device against a Merkava tank and a mechanical booby trap against a D9 bulldozer, which halted the advance and the flanking maneuver from the direction of Karhaboun – Khallat al-Hajja,” clarifying that “the attack was repelled at 10:00 AM.”
The statement indicated that the enemy “renewed its attempt to advance later that same day,” but the resistance continued to repel the attack. “The engineering unit detonated a Shuwaz explosive device against one of the enemy tanks in the Al-Sadr area of Ainatha at 3:00 PM and a mechanical explosive device against another tank in the same area at 4:00 PM.”
As the clashes continued, the statement confirmed that “yesterday, Monday, March 30, 2026, the resistance fighters engaged in three consecutive engagements with enemy forces inside the town of Ainatha between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM in the Ghadmatha and Al-Sadr areas,” during which they “targeted a Merkava tank with a guided missile.”
He also explained that “at 19:45 the Mujahideen targeted a command position of the enemy forces in the vicinity of the Friz Ainata hill with a qualitative missile and achieved an accurate hit,” noting that “the Mujahideen of the artillery corps shelled enemy gatherings and positions more than 15 times throughout the period of confrontation and clashes.”
