Iranian Deputy Speaker of Parliament: The Enemy Suffered a Strategic Defeat, and Iran Established New Equations

Ali Nikzadi, Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), asserted that the United States suffered a strategic defeat in its joint war against Iran, emphasizing that the Iranian people thwarted the enemy’s plans by maintaining their unity and resistance.

In his address to the parliament during its virtual session on Sunday, Nikzad explained, “The conditions of war are constantly changing and evolving, and every development stems from America’s criminal attempt to find a loophole to escape this strategic defeat,” as reported by Iran’s Mehr News Agency.

Nikzad continued, “Our enemies entered the war with widespread and misleading propaganda about their military strength, which not only brought them defeat and failure but also, by shattering the myth of their supposed might and the illusion of their power, exposed their true nature to the world and further humiliated them.”

He noted that they tried to achieve through diplomatic negotiations what they failed to achieve on the battlefield, but there they also encountered exemplary resistance and steadfastness from the representatives of the Iranian people, who, by supporting the state’s recognition and relying on battlefield victories, thwarted the enemy’s transgressions.

He added, “The enemy also tried to undermine the unity of the Iranian people and target their resilience by disrupting oil sales and the supply of essential goods to the country through a naval blockade.” But at this stage, he suffered a strategic defeat, and the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the Strait of Hormuz was firmly established on the ground, relying on the strength of our armed forces.”

The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament stated: “The American president falsely claimed he could destroy Iran’s formidable military power, but the world today sees that our armed forces are on high alert, monitoring the enemy’s most minute movements, and responding forcefully to any aggression against the ships, interests, and territory of the Iranian people. This is the new order in the region, and the world will be forced to accept the new reality in the Persian Gulf, either through understanding or by force.”

Nikzad emphasized: “The entire axis of resistance—Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon—stands as one entity against the arrogance of the oppressive powers, and any strike against any part of this axis will be met with a decisive response. No part of this axis is inseparable, and the Iranian people have not and will not waver for a moment in their support for their mujahideen brothers in Lebanon.”
