The Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population called in a statement, on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, the international and humanitarian organizations to “hold their moral and legal responsibility regarding the targeting of Yemeni civilians, paramedics, medical staff and health workers by the Saudi-led coalition”.

The ministry also called on the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to compel for the return of the Central Bank to the capital Sana’a and the payment of salaries of all employees of the state.

The state employees have not been receiving their salaries for eight months, including more than thirty thousand health workers, local source reported to YemenExtra.

The statement pointed out that the decision to transfer the central bank to Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-backed ousted Yemeni president, increased the suffering of state employees and their families.

Moreover, the statement confirmed that international and humanitarian organizations are held responsible for the transfer of the Central Bank by the Saudi-led coalition with false guarantees and obligations to pay salaries to all employees of the Republic.

However, the General Federation of Yemeni Workers, has submitted payrolls to international bodies for months, but the salary payments have not been fulfilled until this moment, according to the statement,.
