CNN Channel said, Monday, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates pledged to contribute a total of $100 million to the foundation proposed by Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump.

Fund, which will be run by the World Bank, were agreed upon on Sunday during the US president’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

The concept of the foundation, announced by Ivanka Trump in April, outlines providing financial support to female entrepreneurs,” CNN added.

Percentage of unemployed women in Saudi Arabia have been 8 million women according to “an incentive program”.

Despite Ivanka said that ” Saudi have fulfilled an encouraging development in women`s rights”, but in the fact, the Al Saud regime has come under intense pressure by rights groups for mistreating women.

Under Saudi law, a woman must have permission from a male family member, normally the father, husband or brother, in the case of a widow, sometimes her son, to obtain a passport, marry, travel, exit prison and sometimes work or access health care.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that prohibits women from driving. The ban stems from a religious fatwa imposed by Wahhabi clerics. If women get behind the wheel in the kingdom, they may be arrested, sent to court and even flogged.
