Egypt and Oman agree on need for a political settlement of Yemen crisis
Egypt and Oman agreed on the need to find a political solution for crisis in Yemen in a meeting ,on Sunday, between the leaders of the two countries.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah arrived in the Omani capital Muscat on his first visit since taking office as president of Egypt and was received by Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
According to the Omani News Agency, Sultan Qaboos called for a political solution to the crises in the region, especially the Yemen crisis.
For its part, the Egyptian presidency said that the discussions of Sisi and Qaboos touched on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
“The two leaders agreed on the importance of concerted efforts by the international community to reach a political settlement to the crises in some countries in the region, especially Yemen,” the meeting statement said.
