With the end of the third year of the coalition and the siege on the country, Yemen currently has the greatest level of humanitarian needs in the world. After an aggression erupted in March, over 20 million people ,80 percent of the population, are in desperate need of assistance. 10 million are in need of assistance just to stay alive, mostly women and children.

The United Nations and other NGOs in Yemen have demanded the ports be reopened, as the Saudi Arabia and its allies have restricted food and medicine from being delivered, literally starving out innocent Yemenis.

Where Saudi Air Force has bombed a humanitarian convoy of the World Food Program loaded with food south of Saada, make the United Nations aid teams need help.

Thus, in Yemen, the Yemenis help themselves with social solidarity. The United Nations itself is in urgent need of helping. The Yemeni people has appealed for the blockade to be lifted, saying it could spark the largest famine the world has seen in decades.
