Yemeni air defenses shot down on Friday a Chinese-made CH4 fighter spy plane belonging to the aggression in Madghal district of Marib province.

Army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed in a statement Saba received a copy of that the fighter plane was shot down by an undisclosed surface-to-air missile while it was carrying out hostile actions in the Yemeni airspace.

The CH-4 drone is considered the most powerful in terms of its carrying capacity and aviation efficiency and is able to perform tasks that include battlefield monitoring, information gathering, conducting military operations in restricted airspace, and directing accurate strikes on fixed or moving targets at low speed on the ground.

The plane’s wingspan reaches 18 meters, its maximum weight at take-off is 1350 kilograms, and its maximum flight range is five thousand kilometers, and it can float at an altitude between five thousand and seven thousand meters.
