Deputy FM welcomes UN efforts to reach a Yemeni peaceful solution

Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Wednesday welcomed efforts carried out by the UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, attempting to reach the peace that ensures the unity and tranquility of Yemen.

During his meeting with Aiman Mackie, the political affairs officer in the UN envoy’s office, al-Ezzi affirmed that there are ongoing attempts by the Saudi-led coalition to impede the peace process.

He said that “the continued escalation by the coalition in Yemen’s western coast does not serve the United Nations efforts aiming to fulfill settlement.”

In the meeting, Mackie reviewed the efforts of the UN envoy to accomplish a comprehensive political settlement.
