Aleppo-Hama Highway functions for first time in five years
For the first time in five years, humanitarian aid trucks were able to access both government and rebel held regions along the Aleppo-Hama Highway.
Humanitarian aid trucks were filmed by the pro-opposition SMART News Agency going to and from government and rebel held regions on the Aleppo-Hama Highway, Monday.
Thanks to a recent agreement facilitated by Iran, Russia, and Turkey, the highway will be used by NGOs to deliver humanitarian aid to multiple areas in need.
In the future, this agreement will authorize civilians to start using the highway for trade and commerce in both the rebel and government held areas of northern Syria.
