Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces: Despite the presence of UN team, Saudi-paid militias commit 31 violations

The spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Sarei, said on Sunday that the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries are delaying the implementation of the ceasefire agreed upon in Sweden consultations and continue their breaches in Hodeidah with more than 31 violations in the past 24 hours despite the presence of the UN team and the joint committees.

He explained that “the mercenaries of the aggression carried out an infiltration towards the left side of our forces positions in Al-Jaha Al-Asfal area , while the artillery shelled nine mortar shells, including 7 mortars towards the residential neighborhoods in Al-Durehmi district and one mortar shell towards Al- Shaab town and another mortar shell towards Al-Tufsa village in the southern part of Al-Gerahi district. This led to the killing of four citizens, their names are as follows: Muhammed Ahmed Saleh Qetee and his two sons, Ahmed and Muhammad as well as Mohammed Zaba Ashash. After the war crime, the warplanes of the US-backed coalition continued their intense hovering over the city of Hodeidah; with the flying of reconnaissance aircraft and warplanes over Al-Durehmi district and Apache aircraft in the atmosphere of Al-Fayza area.

Moreover, Brigadier Sarie said that the Saudi-paid militias fired using medium and light weapons towards Al- Shaab town from the north and the east of the town, and from the north and south of the Al-Amniah, Al-Koai and Al-Khubatiah towards Al-Durehmi district, while mercenary’s snipers targeted 22 May area towards Al-Etehad area.

He added that the Yemeni Army spotted a bulldozer affiliated with the Saudi-paid militias establishing new positions in the east of Al- Shaab town, as well as monitoring the movements of two armored vehicles and twelve military vehicles, including four carrying military personnel and a vehicle equipped with a military machine gun and two medium trucks beside another nine Hilux cars coming out from Al- Gerasi crossing to the Ekhwan Thabet crossing, and another military vehicle, two Hilux cars , an oil truck, and a big truck moving from Ekhwan Thabet crossing to Al- Hanager area. The movement of two military vehicles carrying personnel was spotted moving from the northeast and southeast of Al- Shaab town.

The Brigadier added that the Saudi-led coalition launched sixteen air raids on the rest of the governorates, including a raid on Sabreen in Jouf governorate and two air raids on the Hiran in Hajjah governorate, two air raids on Kitaf district, five air raids on Baqem district, three air raids on Razeh district, and two air raids on the city of Saada, Saada governorate, and the last air raid was on Amran governorate.

The spokesman pointed out that the Yemeni Army broke and foiled 4 attempts to advance by the forces affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition in Haradh, Hajjah Governorate, including one backed by air force and artillery towards the plateau lasted for seven hours and two more infiltrations towards Al-Haija mountains and Al-Hosneen and the fourth one in Hiran district.

He confirmed that the Saudi-paid militias suffered great losses, where dozens of personnel were killed and injured, and eight different military vehicles were destroyed and a group of mercenaries are still besieged in the mountains of Al-Hosneen, east of Hawathla district.

Brigadier Saree explained that the Yemeni Army repulsed another attempt to advance by Saudi-paid militias that lasted six hours on Ramdan and Al-Mahger area ,Baqam district, and another infiltration on Al- Nimar mountain and the plateau in Kitaf district, Saada governorate. They also repelled the mercenaries’ infiltration in the square of Salbah area in A-Jawef. The Yemeni Army along with popular committees were capable of destroying a vehicle loaded with mercenaries and burn another one in Al-Khalifeen square, besides an additional destroyed armored vehicle in Al-Mhashema area with a guided missile.

In response to these infiltrations and the escalation from Saudi-led coalition mercenaries, the spokesman confirmed that the Yemeni Army and the Popular Committees carried out a surprise attack on the mercenary sites in Razih area, which resulted in taking control of Thabet and Al-Borj mountains and killing and wounding dozens of them.
