Iraqi forces squash ISIL’s attempt to cross the Syrian border
The Islamic State (ISIL) attempted to cross the Iraqi-Syrian border, today, near the town of Tal Safouk.
However, the Islamic State’s attempted crossing would take a turn for the worse after the Iraqi-led Hashd Al-Sha’abi forces eliminated all of the terrorist combatants south of Tal Safouk.
According to Hashd Al-Sha’abi’s official media wing, their fighters killed at least 5 Islamic State terrorists, today, while also destroying their vehicles.
Since losing almost all of the territory they once controlled in Syria’s Deir Ezzor Governorate, the Islamic State has repeatedly attempted to reestablish a presence along the Iraqi-Syrian border.
