Minister of Transportation, Zakaria al-Shami, renewed the call for the United Nations and the Security Council to quickly open Sana’a International Airport and allow the transportation of citizens and patients.

In a statement, Al-Shami stressed the importance of opening Sana’a Int. Airport immediately to alleviate the suffering of thousands of patients who are in urgent need to travel for treatment abroad as well as students and residents abroad. He noted that the Saudi mercenaries are preventing civilians from traveling from Aden Airport in an attempt to ignite regional discrimination and racism, thereby further increasing the suffering of Yemenis.

He held the UN and the Security Council accountable for the legal and moral responsibility of the continued closure of Sana’a Int. Airport, especially for those in dire need to travel for treatment.
