America Welcomes Saleh’s Coup and His Alliance with Saudis




The United States welcomed the announcement of the President of the General People’s Congress Party, also a former Yemeni president, Ali Saleh on the coup against the national partnership with Ansarullah and him joining the alliance of the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.

The US ambassador to Yemen, Matthew Toler, claimed Sunday that Washington has been concerned about the clashes in Sana’a and its effects on civilian victims and the destruction of the capital.

The United States has a major role in conducting the three-year-old war on Yemen, not to mention the ruthless blockade which has resulted in the demolition of the already-weak infrastructure and the “worst famine seen in decades.”
