Foreign Ministry: Saudi-led coalition hinders delegation participating in Geneva talks
The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday stated that the Saudi-led coalition is setting obstacles to prevent the national delegation from participating in the Geneva consultations.
“We were surprised by the obstacles placed by the aggression forces by not granting a license to operate an Omani plane – which is the safe and usual mean to transfer our national delegation”, the ministry said in a statement. “This was requested as part of understanding and coordination and as usual in all negotiations and political consultations.”
The ministry expressed its hope that the United Nations and the international community will compel the Saudi-led coalition into granting a license to an Omani plane to transport the national delegation from Sana’a and secure the delegation’s return to prevent what has already happened before where the delegation had to wait in Muscat for more than three months.
